Obesity is a buildup fat in the body more than normal limit. A person is said  obese when his or her weight is 20% or more above normal limit. Then how do you know we are obese or not? How to measure it's by the way measuring body mass index (BMI/body mass index).

If your BMI results were below of 18.5 kg/ m2 then you are underweight, whereas if it is between 18.5 – 24.9 kg/ m2 then your weight is including healthy.

 

If your BMI results are in the range of 25-30 kg/m2, then you are overweight. Although not yet categorized as obese but you have to be vigilant because at this stage the risk of health problems such as type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease has increased.

 

A person is said to be obese when BMI result is above 30 kg/m2. At this stage, you are exposed to the risk of health problems such as type 2 diabetes, stroke and heart disease become very high.

Obesity can be handled in a disciplined way of keeping healthy eating patterns such as eating foods low in fat and sugar. and regular exercise such as walking, cycling, playing tennis, badminton or swimming.  obesity can also be treated with medications such as olistat.

 

In some cases, obesity can also be treated with surgery. The surgery is usually done only if obesity had been very badly that it is feared may endanger the life of the sufferer. Operations are also considered if efforts to lose weight that's been done for some time not to fruition.
