Home Remedies for Fever

Basil
Basil is one of the effective natural herb for lowering fever. Basil is just as effective as many types of antibiotics on the market. This herb containing healing properties that can help reduce a fever very quickly.

Simply boil together with 20 basil leaves and 1 tablespoon of crushed ginger in one cup of water
Boil until the solution will be reduced in half. Then add a little honey and drink this tea is two or three times a day for three days.

You can also make a tea by mixing one teaspoon of basil with one-fourth teaspoon of pepper in a cup of boiling water. Steep it for 5 minutes, then strain and drink the tea.
Drink this tea two or three times daily until the body temperature becomes normal again.

Water and Juice
To help reduce the temperature of your body, you have to drink water as much as possible. This can help to take care of the lost fluids in your body and also helps reduce body temperature. You should avoid eating solid food or particularly heavy foods. Also, you need to consume plenty of fruit juices or any other fluids or liquids to help replace fluids missing in your body.

Turmeric
The chemical compounds called Curcumin in turmeric contains potent antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and antioxidant properties. Turmeric has been proven to be an excellent home remedy for fever. Turmeric may help the immune system fight any kind of infections and also help prevent complications and reduce the duration of the fever.

Soak a washcloth in the mixture of one part apple cider vinegar (ACV) and two parts cool water. Then squeeze out the excess solution and place it on the forehead and tummy. You can also wrap one around the soles of your feet. Then after the washcloth becomes warm, change it with a new one cool soaked in cool mixture. Repeat this process as often as necessary until your fever reduced.

You can also mix two teaspoons of Apple Cider vinegar and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of water, and then drink it two or three times a day.

Garlic
Garlic has a warm nature that may help lower high fever with promoting sweating. Garlic can also help remove harmful toxins from your body and speed up recovery. Garlic is anti-fungal and antibacterial agent that can help fight infection and also ward off disease.

How to do this, finely mince one garlic clove and add one cup of hot water. Then steep for 10 minutes, strain and sip it slowly. You should drink it twice a day and you will feel much better on the next day.

Or you also try the second way, warm a mixture of two crushed garlic cloves and two tablespoons of olive oil. Then apply it over the sole of each foot, leaving a few spots uncovered. Wrap your feet with gauze to keep garlic in place and leave on overnight. This method for most people can eliminate the fever for just one night.

Raisins
